Oklahoma State University Professor Emeritus Cecil Dugger and his wife, Geneva, were recently recognized by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakree Sirindhorn in Thailand.

Cecil Dugger received King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok Outstanding International Alliance Award and was presented a plaque in recognition of the honor.

The award is designated for a person who has been important in the development of academic cooperation with the Thai education community. Geneva Dugger received a special lapel pin designed by the princess.

Cecil Dugger taught at OSU in the areas of technical education, occupational and adult education and finally in aviation and space education for 30 years before retiring in 1995.

The Duggers lived and worked in Thailand for two years in the late 1960s.

They have since served the Thai community in Stillwater as faculty adviser to the Thai Student Association.
