SVA (Vital Force) represents sound as the first element in an unfolding universe.  This show explores the kinships between Bharatanatyam, the ancient classical dance of Southern India and Japanese Taiko.  The Waidaiko Tokara Ensemble highlights traditional Japanese Taiko drumming.  Their sweeping movements, thundering force and stunning physicality complement Ragamala Dance Theater's fluid precision, punctuated footwork and sustained gestures.
