The beginning of a new Allied Arts season features a performance by musical trio Time for Three. The group has been captivating audiences with a blend of original music and unique twists on classics for years. The trio will be performing Sept. 28 in the OSU Seretean Center Concert Hall at 8 p.m.
Time for Three features three talented members who each bring an important element to the group. Nick Kendall and Charles Yang play violin, and Ranaan Meyer plays double bass. Together, they have been shattering traditional classification of categories from the start. The trio mixes elements of classical, country, gypsy and jazz music to create its engaging sound. Be ready to hear original songs alongside mash-ups of the Beatles, Katy Perry, Kanye West and more.
“Time for Three will be a fun show for everyone,” said Brandon Mitts, Arts, Culture and Entertainment manager. “The trio does such a good job of blending different types of music that no matter what kind of music you like, you will enjoy this show. It is sure to be a concert unlike any you’ve heard before.”
The trio has performed in front of hundreds of audiences, including appearances on PBS, BBC and “Dancing with the Stars.” In 2016, PBS aired “Time for Three in Concert,” which later won an Emmy Award. Currently, Time for Three is touring across the country.
Tickets for the performance are $10 for children 12 and under to $20 for adults. Tickets can be purchased online at tickets.okstate.edu. For more information, contact the OSU Allied Arts office at (405) 744-7509 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
