More than any other facility on campus, the Union has served as the gathering place for students, alumni, faculty, staff and other guests. During the year, more than one million visitors enter the Union’s doors and use its services. This level of traffic during the past 60 years has created the need to renovate and revitalize the Student Union.

PROJECT VISION
To revitalize an iconic campus building so it can better meet contemporary student needs while maintaining the significance of its history, legacy and commitment to student success.
 
Project Priorities
Address aging infrastructure
Secure economic engine by improving Bookstore and dining spaces
Improve and enhance student spaces (e.g., Campus Life, lounges/casual spaces, programming spaces, etc.)
Address facility traffic flow and space allocation
Update aging look of meeting rooms, programming spaces and offices
Maintain the building's legacy
