Allied Arts Begins 90th Season
Allied Arts Kicks Off Season with Comedy Troupe
Laughter awaits audiences with The Second City
Enjoy plenty of satire and laughs with the first Allied Arts performance of the season. With nearly 60 years of comedic experience, The Second City will have you laughing with its latest show, “Made in America (Some Assembly Required)” when it visits the Seretean Center Concert Hall September 28 at 8 p.m.
Founded in 1959, The Second City prides itself with producing cutting-edge satirical performances which launch the careers of some of comedy’s best, including the likes of Steve Carell, Mike Myers, Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Chris Farley and many comedy greats. “Made in America (Some Assembly Required)” is just the latest show in the institution’s successful lineup.
“We’re excited to have The Second City kick off our season,” said Kayla Loper, Arts, Culture and Entertainment manager. “To have an internationally renowned comedy troupe visit Stillwater is special, and we can’t wait to laugh the night away with them.”
“Made in America (Some Assembly Required)” highlights this great – and dysfunctional – nation we live in. This performance will have you bending over with laughter as it celebrates what makes us tick in a hilarious way.
