Ailey II Visits Stillwater

Enjoy a night of impressive dancing when Ailey II visits campus Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. in the Seretean Center Concert Hall. This unique dance crew is known for its outstanding performances that combine the spirit and energy of the country’s best young dancers. Not only are the dancers superb, but the choreographers are also top-level, adding passion and creative visions into the entire performance. 

“We’re excited to bring a nationally renowned dance company to Stillwater,” said Kayla Loper, Arts, Culture and Entertainment manager. “Ailey II brings a performance everyone will enjoy.”

Located in New York City, Ailey II has a rich history that spans five decades. Ailey II has received many nationally recognized accolades. Dance Magazine described Ailey II as "second to none," and The New York Times said, “There’s nothing like an evening spent with Ailey II.” The company is in the midst of its 2018-2019 season, traveling to cities across the globe. Ailey II is embarking on a 38-city world tour in which the renowned 12-member ensemble will inspire audiences in nearly two dozen cities across the U.S. Ailey II will reach international audiences in Canada, Poland, Germany, France and Luxembourg during the tour.

For nine decades the OSU Allied Arts office has brought top-notch talent to the Oklahoma State University campus. The Allied Arts office seeks to enrich the lives of students through the arts.
