Student Union in Stormy Weather

Severe weather season is upon us.  It is important to stay weather aware and know what to do in case of severe weather, including tornadoes.  Be sure to monitor weather reports and make plans to seek shelter prior to the sirens being sounded.

While the Student Union is not a public shelter, it is an area of refuge for persons on the OSU campus.  Please remember, there is construction around the roads leading to the building so traffic can become quite congested. Parking garage spaces are reserved for those conducting business in the Student Union.  Please make alternative plans to protect your vehicle as it is imperative for emergency vehicles to have space to access the garage, if needed.

Areas of refuge on the Oklahoma State campus are listed below. Make note some of the academic buildings are closed after hours so be sure you make accommodations for that in your severe weather plan.
