TOURNAMENT RULES

What software/hardware requirements are needed to participate?

• PC (League of Legends is not playable on console)
• Keyboard and Mouse
• Download League of Legends for free at  https://na.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/

Do I need to be on the Discord server to participate?

• Yes! The Discord server allows the Tournament Organizer to communicate with players and provides a way for the players to communicate with each other. If you do not already have a discord account you can make one at discord.gg.

How is the bracket organized?

• After registration closes (1 hour before the tournament start time), the tournament organizers will import the list of players into a Challenge bracket and post it in the Discord server.

How does matchmaking work?

• A tournament organizer will ping both players. Players can then coordinate with one another through the Discord server or through direct messages  to start the match.

• Players will add each other as friends using their Summoner name (the in-game name displayed when you log into League of Legends) and one player will invite the other into a private match. 

What are the rules?  

• Map: Howling Abyss

• Team Size: 1

• Blind Pick

No spectators (unless the match is being streamed, in which case set to “lobby only”)

The winner will be the first player to accomplish one of the following three goals, whichever comes first:

• First blood

• First tower destroyed

• Reach 100 CS (minion kills)

Matches may include more than one game, depending on the format decided by the organizer.  

In the event of any disputes, go to Profile → Match History and click on the download button to the right of the information about the match in question. You can then download a full replay of the match and submit it to the tournament organizers as evidence to resolve the dispute.
