Student Marketing Assistant | Social Media & Engagement
Description:
Join the Student Union Marketing team as a Student Marketing Assistant focused on social media strategy, engagement, and content creation. This role provides support in the Student Union Marketing department's mission of producing creative communication for all Student Union departments, including general building, retail operations, dining, campus life, meeting and conference services and building operations. You’ll help manage three social media accounts while collaborating with other students and full-time professional staff within our office and across campus.
Responsibilities Include:
- Writing captions and assisting with content planning
- Monitoring comments and messages; sharing engagement insights
- Creating basic analytics summaries and visual reports
- Collaborating with student creators and campus partners
- Staying current on social media trends and student culture
Qualifications:
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Interest in marketing, communications, or social media
- Organized, proactive, and collaborative mindset
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Proficient in social media platforms. Knowledge of content scheduling platforms is a plus.
Position Details:
- 10–20 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday–Friday
- Semester-by-semester employment, contingent on performance
- $10.00/hour
Student Marketing Assistant | Photography & Video Content
Description:
Support the Student Union Marketing team through photography and video content creation for social media. This role provides support in the Student Union Marketing department's mission of producing creative communication for all Student Union departments, including general building, retail operations, dining, campus life, meeting and conference services and building operations. This role works closely with other students, campus partners, and full-time professional staff within our office and across campus.
Responsibilities Include:
- Capturing and editing photo and video content
- Assisting with photoshoots and video productions across campus
- Collaborating with student and staff partners on creative projects
- Supporting larger multimedia initiatives
Qualifications:
- Interest or experience in photography, video, or editing
- Creative storytelling skills
- Strong time management and communication
- Comfortable collaborating with diverse partners
- Proficient with phone and camera equipment
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, Premier, etc.
Position Details:
- 10–20 hours per week

Student Graphic Designer
The Student Union Marketing team is hiring one student graphic designer. Designers work with a wide range of clients, including student organizations, campus life, Student Union, dining and retail operations across campus. This is a great opportunity to build a professional portfolio and gain real-world design experience.
Responsibilities Include:
- Design print and digital marketing materials for a variety of campus audiences
- Partner with the Student Union Marketing team and campus clients to develop creative solutions
- Oversee projects from concept through final production and delivery
- Prepare accurate, production-ready files using Adobe Creative Cloud (PC platform)
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud on a PC platform
- Strong visual design skills, including layout, typography, and composition
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a collaborative environment
Position Details:
- 10–20 hours per week

- Semester-by-semester employment, contingent on performance
- $10.50/hour
